Adolescent Risk Reduction Program

In our Adolescent Risk Reduction Program participants learn through a six hour education group the effects of alcohol and other drug use has on  an adolescent body and a developing brain. They will learn who is at risk for developing a problem with substances and develop a plan to live drug free.

The adolescents that meet the criteria for this program are usually in a diversion program through court, suspension from athletic participation or those who have exhibited behaviors that put them at a higher risk for developing a substance use problems. We have found that covering the material one on one, as well as in a group setting, is also effective to meet the needs of our youth and families.

We also offer a parent education session to provide education and support for parents and guardians who have adolescents participating in our Risk Reduction program; or who just want learn more about how substance use may impact an adolescent, who is at risk of developing substance use problems, signs and symptoms and recent drug trends that are currently going on in our community.
